Chris and I booked a session together as we connected on a social app over our shared love of art and artistry. He is very much a creative, and I absolutely love surrounding myself with creatives. 

​

In our time together in our session, learned more about Chris’ passion for writing, his commitment to using quality materials in all of his work, his scholastic exile to the hell of southern humidity, and various other things. I relaxed. He relaxed. Then it was time to make some images. Chris had brought along some things I'd asked for in seeing his costume designs – from a velvet robe to a self-embroidered  shirt to plain grey sweatpants.

Chris was so collaborative and beautiful and kind throughout the entire process. He’s the kind of artist who is self-aware enough that I didn’t have to do a lot of coaching, but when I did he picked up on what I wanted instantly. There was a lovely artistic chemistry we had. 

​

I love this work so much. I’m able to learn things about all of these incredibly beautiful and unique individuals, like Chris, who all impart a little piece of themselves upon me while I get to create memories of the event. I doubt many of of my clients are aware of their impact on me, but I am keenly aware of it and appreciate it.
